Woolworths HCB 6 x $3.50 2/5
This is not a soft bun. Even after reheating in the microwave. But it taste good; good fruit to spice ratio. It's a good looking bun; I like the colour of the top & the cross. So, for the same as the competition it's not a bad HCB option. I suspect it would be better toasted.

Baking sensation bakery & cafe 1 x $1. 2/5
This is was my local so I just had to try it. It's a good looking bun, individually moulded (is that what bakers call it?) and baked. It's not a soft bun though. Respectable flavour. But it's not that expensive and way better than the crappy Tip Top ones sold in the IGA next door.

Drummoyne Bakehouse 6 x $12 4/5
I nearly gave this a 5. It's a fantastic hot cross bun. Looks good. (Doesn't that cross look great?!). Lovely and soft bun. Wouldn't go hard if you toasted it. Great flavour. Great mix of fruit and spice and some cheeky choc chips thrown in to surprise you. The price is up there with premium hot cross buns. I would of given this a 5 EXCEPT that I wouldn't drive across town for it. I know that is harsh judgement. The Man said I should give it 4.5 but I don't do halves. I will say though that if I don't find a 5 this year, I will be buying these for my friends at Easter.
